First piece in the Glossolalia series - the composition's superrich and full of elements that merge and morph into one another - thick impasto in many areas, the texture itself contributing further elements to this cosmic baroque visual puzzle and giving it an odd postindutrial grunge kind of feeling on top. So much going on in here - yet no meanings that I can decipher - complete enigma if you ask me - which was the very idea behind the whole series!
The work is mostly in oil paint but there are also traces of oil pastels, acrylic,and lacquer -
I's 30x30cm linen canvas stretched on a rigid panel - I've painted the edges in black with a floatframe framing in mind.
